As a nurse, it is important to provide the best care for your patients. One of the ways one ensures they are providing the best care possible, is through a basic understanding of ethics. By considering all evidence of the situation, a nurse should be able to prioritize the patient’s needs while also living up to their Code of Ethics. Generation can also play a role at times in which ethical beliefs can be formed through the way one was raised. For this reason, more experienced nurses may see different interventions as ethical while new graduate nurses may not see the intervention as ethical at all. However, all nurses contribute to a Code of Ethics and therefore contribute to ethical conduct of research. They contribute to this code by ensuring that all research they conduct is ethical as well as the research they implement into their practice. This allows the nurse to feel confident and ethical in the methods of treatment they are providing.
