Throughout the process, my team and I had to revise the question slightly to emphasize what our focus was. Originally, our PICOT question focused on if neonates exposed to opioids in the womb had a greater risk for birth defects. However, after analyzing the question we decided to primarily research neurodevelopmental delays in neonates exposed to opioids rather than birth defects as a whole.
