How I Made a Difference
Throughout my clinical experience, I felt as though there were multiple moments I made a difference in which it could be something simple as talking with a patient who may be lonely or even just making them feel heard. One specific example that comes to mind when I think back to how I made a difference during clinical would be when I took the time to stop and listen to a patient during my rotation. Medication Reconciliation Project Reflection
When working on the medication reconciliation project, I learned a lot about the importance of reviewing a patient’s medications as well as patient education in general. For this assignment, I had a patient on five different medications, two of which were over the counter medications, in which I was able to compare them as well as research each individual medication and make a plan for patient education. Reflection on Modules 3 & 4
Through the module Knowledge and Clinical Judgement, I was able to learn more about the use of critical thinking in nursing practice as well as more about different learning styles. Personally I am an auditory and tactile learner as I feel like I am able to better grasp concepts when I am able to work them out physically or through talking them out with others. By knowing my own learning style I can practice important skills in nursing and study…
Reflection on Modules 1 and 2
From Module 1, Testing and Remediation strategies, I was able to learn new useful techniques when taking difficult exams like the NCLEX. Some of these strategies involve using markings on multiple choice options to establish possible write and wrong answers as well as determining the situation and the question being asked. Each section provided more insight on how I can become a stronger test taker and take more time to fully read each question on an exam. I can use…
