A clinical exemplar describes a patient scenario that impacted you as a health care professional in which for this assignment I chose a patient case that particularly significant to myself. The exemplar highlights aspects of patient care as well as the importance of providing self-care to oneself after a difficult shift. Clinical exemplars also help with reflection and improving one’s own practice in which they are an important part of improving the care one provides.
